Lake Tillery is perfect for all water sports, including waterskiing, tubing, fishing, speed-boating, canoeing, kayaking, and sailing. Three marinas are located on Lake Tillery: Lilly’s Bridge Marina on the East side of the lake, Cook's Marina on the North end of the lake, and Ken's Marina on the South end of the lake.
You can find shopping and many restaurants in nearby Albemarle, Troy, and Norwood.
There
are also many things to do in the surrounding area for couples

Mountain State Park is nearby with hiking trails and
swimming, boating, canoeing, and fishing.
The
Uwharrie National Forest is home to the Uwharrie Mountains, which are believed to be the oldest mountains in the US. It also features lovely,
pristine forest.
Reed
Goldmine is located in nearby Cabarrus County and is
the site of the first gold found in the US.
Town
Creek Indian Mound, the site of an ancient Indian community,
is located in nearby Mt. Gilead.
